Welcome to the Debt Killer Diaries. After much contemplation, I decided..Oh, What the hell….it’s time to get my life back on track and really start to eliminate debt in my life.  While I don’t view myself as a monumental failure, I certainly have made more than my fair share of serious errors when it comes to my relationship with money.

I’m not here to pretend that I’m a self-proclaimed financial genius, though I’m overqualified as a financial screw up. I’m a work in progress.  Think marble, not clay.  It’s gonna take a long while before I’m out of debt, but in the meantime, I figure why not share my ups and downs, wins and losses, bounced checks and windfalls with you.

Whether you’re floating in a similar boat, or you’ve never incurred a late fee in your life, I’m hoping that something inside the cacophony of my mistake-ridden financial history will be useful to you, or at the very least, provoke some thought.

Amongst the wickedly informative content here at The Debt Killer Diaries you will find:

*Stories about my personal struggles with money
*Regular updates on my progress with killing debt
*Links to informative websites, books and stories
*Random musings about living debt free

I hope you’ll be intrigued or, at the very least, amused enough to come back regularly and check out my debt killing progress.  I’d love to hear your thoughts, advice and stories. If but one lonely soul should learn something from my numerous financial foibles, I will have succeeded.

I myself am trying to reduce debt and originally took up blogging to see if I could make side money to cut down debt. I am trying to follow the Total Money Makeover plan by Dave Ramsey.

Hi Justin! I read that book, and while he gives lots of good info, there’s just something about HIM that rubs me the wrong way. Maybe just his writing voice, I don’t know. Back in the 90’s I read his first round of books, about Financial Peace, I think? I know that @jooblie, on Twitter, either is or did the TMM program too. He’s fairly close to done with debt, I believe, so yes it does work!

We’re almost back on track with our budgetary plan, just hit glitches that sent us scrambling, so had to restart. Going to be posting soon about progress!!

Thanks for stopping by. Come back again!! :)
